Steffen Mio Kristiansen were one of the first employees at No Isolation, a firm with the vision to help people fight loneliness and social isolation. His background is organisational work, where he among other things have been the president of Norway´s biggest solidarity action, Operasjon Dagsverk, and the CEO of Natur og Ungdom, one of the biggest youth organizations in the country.
No Isolation was founded in Norway in October 2015 with a single purpose: to reduce involuntary social isolation. The first goal is to reduce loneliness amongst children suffering from long-term illness. They have created AV1, the world’s first communication robot that allows children to partake in their daily life and education, despite their illness. AV1 was launched in Norway in September 2016. Today the robot is in use in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, and the UK.
Their next product will be a communication tool targeted towards senior citizens
