Author, Rare Disease Patient and Ambassador for the Pituitary Foundation
Dan Jeffries is very, very rare. He was born with Wyburn-Mason syndrome, an extremely rare vascular condition which affects the mid-brain and visual pathway and has left him blind in one eye. He was also diagnosed with Acromegaly, a benign tumour in the pituitary gland, in 2007.
In 2015, Dan published his memoir, ‘Me, Myself & Eye’, which chronicles what it’s like living with two rare conditions. He is a Volunteer Ambassador for The Pituitary Foundation and has spoken to Pfizer as part of Rare Disease Day and recently appeared in an acromegaly awareness video for Novartis, to advise and guide nurses around the world. He often speaks at other rare disease events.
